Yes! I try to not feel offended when my kids get in the car at school pick up and ask me to turn on an audiobook. We love the Magic Treehouse series (funny, we only listen to those books - when I have brought them home from the library to read, they remain unread) and will try Humphrey next. I know B loved it when Mrs. York read the first Humphrey book aloud last year.

Ha! I completely understand. I haven't even gotten my seatbelt on yet and Piper's asking me to turn on a book. Both your girls will love Humphrey. You've been warned about the narration, but honestly--I got used to it!

We totally agree - pop that CD into your car stereo! Many of our students got into Harry Potter by listening to the audiobook during roadtrips from San Francisco to LA.

Yes! We’re listening to the first Harry Potter right now, and although we’ve read all the books, Jim Dale’s brilliant narration takes it to another level!!!! Thanks for your comment❤️

For all of the skeptics out there (dads... this means you), I can assure you that these are some of the best car rides I've ever had with my family. I think I may love some of these stories even more than my kids, and the characters are simply outstanding! Audio books are the bomb!

I LOVE this post -- of course I do. What great tips for audiobooks! We really need to check out the Humphrey series -- we have several in print, haven't gotten to them yet, and it never occurred to me to see if they are available on audio, so thanks for that.
