A favorite "real life" friend and my two favorite newsletter writers in one place? I can hardly believe it.
Sarah always amazes me by having *even more* recommendations for reading. I've requested all of these books (except Ariki, which we already devoured). Thanks for sharing!
I now recall that I read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH at some point in my childhood, loved it, and now don't recall what it was about at all. Time to re-read!
It may have been for my Battle of the Books team. Katie, did you do this? It was truly a highlight of my childhood: https://www.battleofthebooks.org.
It was incredible. We had a list of 50 books to read the summer prior and there was a competition to determine who would represent our elementary school. We need to get this going at SAES.
It's not BADGERING, Katie, it's internet friendship 😂 I'm so glad we met. You're doing a great job with MBH -- keep going!

Darcy, what amazingness is this!?! I would have loved having something like Battle of the Books! Definitely wasn’t on my radar.

Ariki was so very good and we need to read the sequel!
It was really good! I'm hoping there will be a third book in the series.
